I'm Back Or Around Here Someplace

Been very busy it seems lately, doing lots of running.
Ok, I lied. About the lots and the running part. Actually hadn't run in over a week. Last run I did was 16 k and did me in pretty good. Was supposed to do it again this past sunday. Just went out tonight and did just over 5 k. That went better. So haven't been out to my running room cult lately. Will go tomorrow night and get back to it. Tonight was a warmup. Doing the 16k reminded me of lots of things. Long distance running is lonely (guess that's why there's a book called that). That pain in my hip comes back from last year and says "Remember Me?"
Having severe doubts about doing the marathon this year, thinking I'll just keep training get my base running up to where it should be, do the marathon but take it easy and hopefully next year can start working on my time.
Been painting the main hallway to the house and up the stairs and bedroom hallway. Tried using this paint where the primer is already mixed in. Meh, still needs two coats, however the first coat does cover pretty nicely. Problem is my corners and against the ceiling, no matter how heavy I'm cutting it, or think I am, it's never enough so I have to do another coat. Plus I miss spots. I get the wall covered but sometimes forget to go back over certain areas so you can see the previous colour.
Sean, my daughters boyfriend is here this week from England. He made me chicken curry yesterday. I'm not used to hot foods. I like them, just don't eat them enough. Used one scotch bonnet pepper. Was rather warm. Holy crap! I just looked up the heat index on that. 325,000 scoville heat units! That bastard was trying to kill me!
Er, I seem to remember him telling me what he was using and he said it was the second hottest pepper available. As usual I heard it however, not really.
Taking off now, have things to do still. Next post we'll discuss the G20 in Toronto. Just because it's my blog and I said so.

About Me

My photo
I work at a 911 centre. Yes, CENTRE! I am Canadian! So, yes I do have some stories. Not as many as you might think as you do tend to get jaded working in that environment for any length of time. And you start to think of everyone as stupid, immature, and wonder how we ever survived the dark ages as a race. We need more chlorine in the gene pool! Most people I find are afraid. Afraid of life, afraid of each other, afraid of failure, afraid of success. You big fraidy cats! Wait till the zombies come, now that's something to be truly afraid of!
